With over 15 years’ experience in property law, Liad founded Hadar Inc in 2018, bringing his vision of a new-age, specialised property law firm to life. The firm has grown exponentially, servicing REITs, high net worth unlisted property funds, property managers and an array of property owners around South Africa.

 

As Director of the firm, Liad oversees all high-level property disputes, advises on high-value commercial property transactions and consults to REITS and unlisted property funds.

 

Liad’s expert opinion is regularly sought after by property investor groups and management companies around the country. Nominated as an African Legal Awards Attorney of the Year in 2018 and 2022, he also serves as a columnist on Fin24’s expert Property Law panel and is a monthly contributor to Asset Magazine’s Legal Club. In addition to being a qualified attorney, Liad holds degrees spanning the fields of commerce and Advanced Company Law and completed his MBA in 2021 and attended a Leadership in Law Firms course at Harvard Law School in 2024.

Farah is a specialist in property-related litigation and evictions, supporting Hadar Inc clients through collections on rental arrears, negotiating exit strategies, and claiming for damages suffered by her clients.

 

She is an expert at maximizing value from property assets, both for her corporate clients, as well as the individual property investors she supports.

 

Farah also assists with due diligence and opinion work relating to the property. In addition to completing her degree in law, Farah has also completed a postgraduate diploma in business administration in order to marry the prescripts of law with the principles of business.

In addition to general property litigation, his focus areas include rental collection and evictions for retail and commercial properties. He is also an expert in residential property evictions.

 

Jayson regularly appears in the Magistrates Courts to argue applications and is a trusted attorney for numerous REIT and unlisted property funds.

Her focus areas include landlord/tenant disputes in retail, industrial, commercial and residential properties. She also assists with competition law and in preparing submissions to the Competition Commission for transactions which fall within the ambit of the Competition Act.

 

Makaziwe regularly appears in the Magistrates Courts to argue applications and is aligned with several REITs and large unlisted property funds.
